Description

Shell Rimula R7 AX 5W-30 is a fully synthetic oil from the Rimula line with a low HTHS viscosity for the latest Euro 6 truck and bus engines, including the Mercedes-Benz OM 470-936 series and Volvo, Renault Trucks and Mack engines.

The oil is rated API FA-4, SN and ACEA F01 and holds official approvals Cummins CES 20087, DDC DFS 93K223, DTFR 15C130, Mack EOS-5, Renault Trucks RLD-5 and Volvo VDS-5.

Typical figures: 10 mm²/s at 100 °C, HTHS 2.9 mPa·s, sulphated ash 0.98 %, pour point -51 °C, flash point 236 °C.

The oil is not backward compatible: it must not be used in older engines designed for oils with a higher HTHS.

Application

Latest Euro 6 truck and bus engines, including Mercedes-Benz OM 470-936 and Volvo, Renault Trucks and Mack engines with VDS-5, RLD-5 and EOS-5 approvals; not for older engines.
