Description

Castrol EDGE 5W-30 C3 is a fully synthetic, mid-SAPS oil in the EDGE range for petrol and diesel car engines, including those fitted with a particulate filter.

It is rated ACEA C3 and API SN and CF, and holds official MB 229.31, MB 229.51, Opel OV0401547-D30, Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710 approvals. According to the manufacturer, it meets the requirements of VW 505.00 and VW 505.01 without formal Volkswagen approval.

Typical figures: 12.4 mm²/s at 100 °C, 74 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 166, sulphated ash 0.74 %, pour point -45 °C.

Application

Petrol and diesel cars with a particulate filter that call for ACEA C3, MB 229.31 or 229.51, or Opel OV0401547-D30.
