Mobil 1 10W-60

Description

Mobil 1 10W-60 is a fully synthetic, high-viscosity oil in the Mobil 1 range. It is intended for high-mileage petrol and diesel engines, where a thicker oil reduces oil burning, and for motorsport.

It is rated ACEA A3/B4 and API SN, SM, SL and SJ. ExxonMobil also recommends it where MB 229.1, API CF or ACEA A3/B3 is specified; the manufacturer lists no official car-maker approvals.

The formulation includes extra seal-conditioning additives and anti-wear additives for worn engines. Typical figures: 22.7 mm²/s at 100 °C, 156 mm²/s at 40 °C, pour point -42 °C.

It is not intended for diesels with a particulate filter.

Application

High-mileage petrol and diesel cars, often beyond 150,000 km (diesels only without a particulate filter), plus motorsport and high-performance engines that need a high viscosity.
