Description

Motul 4100 SYN-NERGY SPEC 10W-40 is a full-SAPS synthetic engine oil from the 4100 range, built on a Technosynthese base. It is designed for petrol and diesel passenger car engines, both naturally aspirated and turbocharged.

The oil is rated ACEA A3/B4 and API SP. It holds no manufacturer approvals: the maker states that it meets the requirements of MB 229.3, VW 501.01, VW 505.00, PSA B71 2300, Renault RN0700 and Renault RN0710.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 14.9 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 158, pour point -41 °C, base number 10.3 mg KOH/g. Pack sizes from 1 to 208 litres.

It is not intended for engines with a particulate filter that require a low-SAPS oil.

Application

Petrol and diesel passenger cars, naturally aspirated or turbocharged, that call for ACEA A3/B4 and earlier Mercedes-Benz, VW, PSA or Renault specifications.
