Description

Motul 6100 SYN-CLEAN SPEC 5W-30 is a synthetic mid-SAPS engine oil from the 6100 range, built on a Technosynthese base. It is intended for Euro 4-6 petrol and diesel passenger cars with a particulate filter and is compatible with catalytic converters.

The oil is rated ACEA C3 and API SN. It holds no formal approvals: the maker states that it meets the requirements of MB 229.51, VW 505.00, VW 505.01, Opel OV0401547-D30 and Chrysler MS-11106.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 12.3 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 167, HTHS viscosity 3.5 mPa·s, pour point -41 °C, sulphated ash 0.78 %. Available in 1 and 5 litre packs.

Application

Euro 4-6 petrol and diesel passenger cars with a particulate filter that need ACEA C3, including VW Group, Mercedes-Benz, Opel and Chrysler engines.
