So, let's list the main functions and properties a washer fluid should have. First, after use there shouldn't be any streaks or rainbow-coloured films left on the surface. Naturally, when applied it shouldn't damage your car's paintwork, or corrode plastic and rubber parts. When buying, it's worth paying special attention to the composition and smell of the washer fluid, since above all it needs to be safe for your health. And, of course, it's worth giving separate attention to how well it performs its main job — fighting off the chemical grime on the highway.

Lastly, a few words about how washer fluid is made in our country. We won't go into how it can be made at home here, we'll just point out that ethanol-based washer fluids are banned here. Russian experts have found that isopropyl alcohol as a base is a great alternative to ethanol, matching it in the final product's quality.
