According to the manufacturer, absolutely everything has been accounted for in the new Opel Combo — buyers get maximum value for their money. In fact the new Opel Combo is built on the Fiat Doblo van platform, the result of a general agreement signed between General Motors and Fiat in 2010.

Among the competitive advantages cited is the high fuel efficiency of the engine line-up (which includes three diesels — 1.3, 1.6 and 2.0-litre, one 1.4-litre petrol, and one "gas" engine originally designed to run on LPG), as well as maximum usable volume.

The new Opel Combo is offered in two wheelbase options — 275 and 310 centimetres — and two body height options — 210 and 185 cm. The body itself comes as a five- or seven-seat van with updated styling.

Maximum cargo volume on the long wheelbase comes to around 4,200 litres.
