The French concern Total, which specialises in fuels and lubricants, has expanded its engine oil lineup with an entirely new product — Total QUARTZ 9000 FUTURE 0W-20. The manufacturing technology behind this synthetic oil was developed in line with the API SM and ILSAC GF-4 specifications and with the requirements of the latest generation of engines in mind. Total QUARTZ 9000 FUTURE 0W-20 is intended for hybrid engines and engines fitted with a three-way catalytic converter.

Testing has shown that using the French manufacturer’s new oil improves engine efficiency figures by 2%. The 0W-20 viscosity grade preserves excellent flow properties and guarantees an easy start even at low temperatures. In developing the new product, the technologists were guided by the strict requirements that the world’s leading carmakers set for engine oils. In particular, it’s noted that Total QUARTZ 9000 FUTURE 0W-20 satisfies the criteria of Honda, Ford and Toyota.

Total develops its lubricants in France, at a research centre located in the city of Solaize. The concern has production facilities in 130 countries around the world. Its new products are tested in such well-known racing events as the WRC, Formula 1 and the Dakar Rally.
