The Russian divisions of Volkswagen and Castrol have signed a cooperation agreement. Since May 2011, Volkswagen Group Rus LLC and Setra Lubricants LLC have been strategic partners on the Russian market.

According to both sides, the signed agreement will allow both companies to make fuller use of their potential on the international market and in Russia. Under the strategic cooperation agreement, Volkswagen dealers are advised to offer customers Castrol Professional LL 111 engine oil in a one-litre can, "for topping up".

In this way, Castrol secures the backing of one of the leaders of the car industry and becomes a recommended supplier of engine oils to the Russian market, while Russian Volkswagen dealers will be able to raise their level of service and improve the quality of after-sales support.

According to Robert Herrmann, Volkswagen's director of after-sales service for passenger cars, the agreement with Castrol opens up major prospects for the company's development on the Russian market.
